Paul O’Mahony is an entrepreneur, author, product creator, event organiser and public speaker, specialising in Digital Marketing and Social Media. Originally from Limerick, Paul qualified with a BSc in Industrial Biochemistry and a Grad.Dip. in Chem Eng from the University of Limerick. Having spent almost a year working as a project brewer with Diageo, he then worked with Boston Scientific for almost 10 years. During this time, he achieved a Grad. Dip. in Project Management with UCC and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification followed by an MBA. This gave Paul his introduction to sales and marketing.
At the age of 30, and after being offered a position of Engineering Director, he decided to change career paths and take control of his own, financial affairs. This was when Paul discovered the magic of social media.
He made his first, two, online sales on only his second day of using Twitter and built up a following of over 30,000 people in just one month. He then set up an online business, making in excess of £8,000 per month and, since then, has become a renowned, world leading, digital marketing and social media expert and highly sought-after, international speaker, as well as a regular columnist for the Sunday Independent. He regularly speaks at events with thousands of attendees and his blog is rated number one in Europe.
Paul has a deep understanding of mindset and finance and provides audiences with critical insights into how an individual can find their inner mission and work towards building their financial targets. He is a serial entrepreneur with a variety of companies, ranging from financial education for children to becoming a master at growing an online business. His overall mission is to empower children all over the world to be completely financially independent of their parents or an employer for life before they leave school.
