As the son of European immigrants who came to North America with only thirty dollars to their name, Eker grew up in Toronto, but spent most of his adult years in the US. Money was scarce and, as a teen, he delivered newspapers, scooped ice cream, sold novelties at fairs and suntan lotions at the beach.

After a year at York University, Eker decided to take time off to pursue his dream of a becoming a millionaire. During his early adult years, Eker lived in five, different cities and had a variety of jobs but found it difficult to achieve success.

Having lived through many years of frustration, Eker opened one of the first, retail, fitness stores in North America and grew the business to ten stores in under three years. He then sold part of the company to a Fortune 500 corporation. With this sale, Eker finally achieved his dream of becoming a millionaire, however, within two years, the money was gone, due to bad investments and unchecked spending.

At that point, Eker realised that his ‘inner-money thermostat’ was set for a specific amount of financial success and began developing theories about people’s mental and emotional relationships with money. Using these theories and principles, he reset his own blueprint to not only create success, but to keep and grow it to become a multi-millionaire.

During his years of struggle, Eker vowed that, should he ever become rich, he would help others to do the same and has kept his promise. He has already touched the lives of over a million people, helping them to become financially free. In 1997, Eker founded Peak Potential Training, one of the fastest growing, business and personal success, training companies in North America, which continues to run to this day. Its goal is to help people identify and overcome the hidden obstacles that hold them back from reaching their full potential in terms of both success and happiness.

Since 2011, Eker has also been the CEO of Harv Eker International, which created the ‘Reasons Or Results Coaching Programme’, guiding people in establishing goals for each, major area of their lives, and then breaking down those goals into actionable steps. With a focus on creating financial freedom, they provide clients with detailed feedback to keep them on track in reaching their goals and live a life of purpose, filled with courage, purpose and joy.
