Robin Sharma originally trained as a lawyer at the Dalhousie University Law School in Halifax, Canada, where he gained a Masters degree. He went on to become a lawyer; however, he decided to quit his job and self-publish a book at a local copy-shop.

His second book ‘The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari’, was also originally self-published, until he was discovered in a bookstore by former HarperCollins president, Ed Carson. The book topped international bestseller lists, selling over 5 million copies, and the series that followed went on to become one of the world’s most successful, publishing franchises.

Robin is the founder of Sharma Leadership International Inc., a training firm with only one focus: helping people in organisations Lead Without a Title. Clients include many of the Fortune 500 including Starbucks, The Coca Cola Company, FedEx and IBM. Organizations such as NASA, Yale University and The Young Presidents Organization are also SLI clients.
