Course Description

Use crowdfunding to raise funds for projects.

If you are a property developer looking to attract outside funding for a project, you've probably heard of crowdfunding. You may be considering it as an option and want to know more about how it works.

Put simply, crowdfunding is the practice of funding an investment, project, business or product by raising money, usually via online sources, from a number of people. It presents an enormous opportunity for property developers to raise the funds they need to get into the property game.

However, if you're considering crowdfunding for your next project, there are many things you need to be aware of, and you should always make sure you enter into any crowdfunding knowing exactly how it works and understanding the potential risks and pitfalls it presents.

In this course, Florence Wong, property expert and Wealth Dragons coach, is joined by her special guest, Atusksha Powassie, Managing Director of Simple Crowdfunding, a property funding marketplace that connects property investors to fundraisers. She is also the founder of Focus 2020, a specialist, CRM consultancy and the author of two Amazon bestsellers. Atuksha has amassed a substantial property portfolio in the UK and abroad and has helped many businesses, across many industries, grow their 'raving customer fan' base by providing guidance and support. She was also voted as the winner for the National Venus Award for 'Influential Woman of the Year' in 2017.

In this course, Atuksha explains the concept of crowdfunding, in terms of exactly what it is and how it works, and discusses the key points you need to consider before making a decision to use crowdfunding to raise money for your property project.

Once you have watched this course, you will know:

• The difference between backing and equity funding and when to use one over the other
• The different types of investment and the benefits of each, so you can decide which one is right for your project
• Why it is so beneficial to use crowdfunding to attract investors via online sites and understand the costs and risks involved
• The definition of a joint venture opportunity and an overview of the various, online platforms you can use to raise the funds you need.
